Lightstream Design is mostly just me, Lorraine Gelard, a designer who has worn many hats from that of art director and illustrator, to web designer and painter/muralist.
I graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, then pursued a career in the hectic NYC advertising scene, working at agencies both large and small including BJK&E, Ogilvy & Mather Promotion and Carnahan & Mitty. Eventually I moved to the quiet little hamlet of Valhalla working as an Art Director for the publishing giant Reader’s Digest where I honed my direct mail skills.
These days I spend my working hours creating websites, email promotions, brochures, logos and illustrations, both print and web, as well as the murals I love to design and paint.
